Happy Pepero Day!

Today, November 11, most Koreans, especially the younger ones celebrate Pepero Day. Pepero Day is named after the Korean snack called Pepero (thin bread sticks dipped in chocolate). It is held every November 11 because four sticks of Pepero resemble the date, thus, 11/11. ^^

People, especially couples, exchanges boxes of Pepero to each other during Pepero Day --- that's why it's somewhat similar with Valentine's Day.

For today, most of my Korean students talked about this 'unofficial' holiday in our class, and it's really nice hearing their ideas on how they celebrated it when they were younger. ♥
